Per state requirements, the Public Works staff are in the process of completing lead line checks from curb stop. This requires them to dig in the road right-of-way at many homes throughout the Village. They have and will continue to fill and repair the areas where they must dig. Even if they have been inside your home, this is the next step in this lead line inspection, and they are diligently working to complete this in a timely manner.
Above is a photo of what the area may look like after a verification is completed. The cones are placed over the holes in the ground for safety reasons and should not be moved by anyone other than DPW staff. The holes are filled in and the cones removed each day.
