The Village of Middleville-Kellogg school system provides facilities and programs from preschool through adult education. Three elementary schools, a middle school, a high school, and an Early Childhood Center are all operated within the village. The school system employs almost 260 people, which makes it a major non-industrial employer in the village.

Each elementary school building has a comprehensive library, a music room, an all-purpose room, and special facilities for the learning disabled and special education services. A highly varied curriculum is offered by the middle school, including several enrichment courses.

The high school, with almost 146,000 square feet, was built in 1971, and serves as a community center. The  high school belongs to the Ottawa O-K Athletic Conference, one of the largest and strongest in western Michigan. A wide variety of interscholastic athletics is available, and Village of Middleville Kellogg teams consistently bring honors to the community. Excellent bands, forensic teams, plays and musicals, computer teams, future problem solvers and an active national honor society lead scholastic life at the high school. Vocational studies are offered both locally and at the Kent Skills Center in Grand Rapids.
