  • Community and Economic Development Director Doug Powers has been with the Village of Middleville since 2023. The Community and Economic Development Department supports community development and revitalization, while managing federal, state, and local funding to support programs and services that benefit residents and businesses.

    Community Development directs promotion of, and participates in, community planning. The Community and Economic Development Director oversees Planning and Zoning for the Village as well and is the staff liaison to the Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals. Doug reports monthly to the Village Council and monitors the Planning Commission, Downtown Development Authority, and Zoning Board of Appeals meetings.

    Community Development Coordinator, Katelyn Brown, has been with the Village of Middleville since March 2026. The Community Development Coordinator provides support to the Director of Community and Economic Development with projects that facilitate economic development as well as the revitalization of downtown Middleville.
