Community and Economic Development Director Doug Powers has been with the Village of Middleville since 2023. The Community and Economic Development Department supports community development and revitalization, while managing federal, state, and local funding to support programs and services that benefit residents and businesses.

Community Development directs promotion of, and participates in, community planning. The Community and Economic Development Director oversees Planning and Zoning for the Village as well and is the staff liaison to the Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals. Doug reports monthly to the Village Council and monitors the Planning Commission, Downtown Development Authority, and Zoning Board of Appeals meetings.

Develop/Redevelop in Middleville

In an effort to actively promote and spur economic development opportunities, the Village of Middleville identified several priority development/redevelopment sites to be showcased online.  Below is a list of priority redevelopment property information packages within the Village. The property information package (PIP) includes tax, site, zoning, land use, utility, potential funding and community profile information.
